The funny part is that I even have a button linking to it on my browser's toolbar and I still forgot. Now, I should definately list whats been going on. Recently, I spent five days in South Jersey with my relatives in their vacation trailor park. It is about 10 minutes from Sea Isle City so getting to the beach is easy. I had a good time going to the beach and staying up late to play washers (a game similar to horse shoes, google it maybe?). The downside to the vacation is that they always have a large serving of mosquitoes there and my passenger side window of my car stopped rolling up about halfway there. I got to smoke a cuban cigar, so I guess that makes me a cigar aficianado. Tomorrow I'm going to hang out with a vip (Keilah), and we are going to kid's castle with her siblings followed by a pirates of the carribean and whatever else after that. Sorry to dissapoint my loyal fanbase of 0 readers by not posting very often, but I am going to go once again because it is night time snack time and bed time for me.

Tired After a Long Weekend

Well its now Sunday night, and I'm beat from the weekend. Today seemed especially long. I woke up around 7:30 and ate some breakfast. After breakfast the fun part of the day started :-( . I found out my mom was going to lake Noccamixon (not sure if that's spelled right but I do not care at this point) with my brother and sister to ride bikes, so I figured what the heck I could use some exercise. I go to get my bike out of the basement, and it has two flat tires, but I figured, big deal I'll put some air in them. Well I go and get it pumped up and get on it, only to realize once I started peddling that something was terribly wrong with my gears because it was making all kinds of noises and jumping a lot. As soon as I started looking at it, I could tell the chain was messed up because it looked rusted and a lot of the links were seized up and remaining stiff. I must have spent an hour and a half spraying some penetrating oil on that thing and flexing each individual link with pliers just to get it back to normal, but the greatest part was the relief I felt when I got on it after I finished. Nothing is like the feeling of having your hard work pay off. When I got done, the bikes were loaded into the truck and we headed out. It was a nice ride as usually, and we stopped to eat our food, which I was definitely hungry for. I came home after biking and got a shower before Keilah came over to pick me up, and I hung out with her, Ashley, Ian, and Brendan. Played around with a soccer ball, and had a little football. Pretty soon I ended up back at the lake again when we decided to go for a walk there. Tons of catapillars for whatever reason were all over the trail. Next on the list of events was the visit to Keilah's uncle, who had a really neat rope swing set up. Its amazing that a house could be built on land that's dominated by trees and boulders. We went to MickyDee's only to find that they and every other store around them had no power, so we went to Frank's Pizza which makes some awesome cheesestakes as always. Finally, I ended up here, typing this and getting ready to do homework. If you read this far, you either have lots of spare time or you actually care. If you care, thanks for your time and come again.

Vrroomm

On this day one month from now I can get behind the wheel again.

Poser

At this point in time, the new IE 7 seems lame to me. It is like they have become posers over there at the big Microsoft, and all they have done is copy things that other browsers have done like tabbed browsing. There is no menu set up at the top of this new browser like Windows is designed to have, and I really do not see the idea behind that one. Maybe it is just me, but it looks like the text is displaying slightly distorted too. I am going to go ahead and recommend that everyone should use Firefox for now. It has been so much better in so many ways, mainly by not allowing my computer to ever get viruses or spyware just by visiting a website. I have lost track of the number of times that has happened on the family computer which is still running IE 6. The idea that I can change what Firefox looks like and still have it run the same, with the themes, is just one of the features that makes it a more interesting piece of software to use.

http://www.getfirefox.com/

I'm Back!

It was a long drive, but I've been to Florida and back, all driven with my family in my dad's truck. I stayed at Daytona Beach overnight on the way there since we were all tired and were too early to go to the house yet. That part was cool because I had never stayed in a motel/hotel (I don't know what it was), and my parents got their own room and a seperate one for my sister, brother, and me. That beach really wasn't that great because it was still cold in the ocean and the pool was even cold. After that, we left early the next morning to drive another 7 hours to the Florida Keys and arrived at our house for the week in Cudjoe Key. The weather was amazing the first day we got there, with a slight breeze and temperatures in the 90's. It was pretty awesome knowing that back here it was raining/sleeting and only in the 40's. The weather never went below 79 the whole week when I checked the thermometer. Monday I went on a fishing trip, but unfortunately the only catch out of the whole family was by my dad who caught an eel. Then there was Wednesday when we went on a snorkeling trip to a coral reef. I had a disposible underwater camera which I hope will provide some really awesome pictures of all the fish I saw. There was a lot to see if you were willing to put up with the really rough ocean that day, which constantly dumped water in the snorkel while you're trying to breath. There was this yellow and white type of fish that would always hang around the divers and stay just out of your reach. The other days of the week we spent either in Key West or doing something at the house. The house itself provided a lot of entertainment. There was a canal and dock in the back yard that had the open ocean at one end of it. I fished, snorkeled, swam, and kayaked in the canal, although kayaking took me out of the canal and around a small island and around our Cudjoe Key. I did get to see a nurse shark while I was kayaking around the small island. Inside the house was some much needed A/C and the sattelite tv. Key West is definately a freak show sometimes. The majority of the town is made up of bars and resturaunts that sereved alcohol, and its basically a garuntee that you will see drunk people all over after sunset. The streets were littered with bums, mopeds, tons of people, and, oddly enough, chickens. I guess the chickens are just living there on their own now. It felt like I was in a different country with all the chickens and all the people speaking foreign languages. Some people seem to think they are still capable of driving a moped around while drunk, and I ended up seeing a guy crash into the curb on the opposite site of the road after trying to turn right at an intersection. Needless to say he flew off the moped onto the sidewalk. I also stood at the southern most point in the United States, and its only 90 miles to Cuba from there. I have a picture of my family and I standing there, which was taken by a bum with one tooth that my mom gave her camera to. So that was pretty much what my stay in the Keys was like, and the last good part of the vacation was 25 hours driving home. We stopped at some place called South of the Border which sells some fireworks currently too big for Pennsylvania. I think that was in North Carolina but dont quote me on that. For a good part of the night I had been riding in the bed of our truck, sleeping on top of life jackets we used for kayaking. I think I had been in there a few hours before we got to South of the Border at about 2:00 AM. A few minutes after we had resumed driving, I suddenly had this horrible urge to vomit. I think I tried to hold it in for about half an hour until finally I just had my dad pull over so I could get out and puke on the side of the road. I never felt sick except for that, so I'm thinking it was something I ate, possibly my gummi bears and energy drink dinner. The rest of the ride I spent up in the front seat in case my stomache had to fire another load; fortunately I never had a repeat of that. The rest of the ride was just highway and the occasional rest stop. It is good to finally be home, but I will definately miss being in the Keys. Shorts, tee shirt, and flip flops was my dress code for the whole time, but now that I'm home its back to jeans, sweatshirt, and shoes, since it is not 90 degrees. Such a really awesome trip with warm weather, lots of sun, and clear, warm ocean water.

Eligible

I'm eligible for my driver's liscense once again on 5/28/06!!! I woke up at like 12:30 in the night with it, and various other times untill about 2:30 when I got my mom to open a bottle of tylonol for me because I was to retarded and weak from the fever to get it open myself lol. Starting tomorrow, I get to take two midterms per day. These are fairly long, usually averaging 100 multiple choice questions plus some writing, and make me feel like crap. The worst part of the week is actually from Monday to Wednesday because the girl I love is grounded from the phone. To top it all off, there's no ski trip this week. I guess the upside is that I don't have school Friday and until then I have half days of school. Now that I think of it, this week won't be too bad. If I don't have school Friday, that means I can go see Keilah all day! Blogging stuff can really turn things around when it makes you write and think about the obvious. Now, I know I should get to studying right now, but I think it would be much more enjoyable to play Half-Life 2.

I love the weekends

Boring Wednesday

I am done chewing cinnamon gum. It made my mouth hurt so bad..... My ski trip for tomorrow was canceled, which actually really makes me happy because its been way too warm and the snow would have sucked. It was pretty bad last week and I would imagine its only gotten worse since then. So after school Friday, I get to see Keilah! I think we're going to see a movie. And Saturday we're going ice skating, which kinda works as a subsitute for not skiing. Like the title says, today was boring, so I'm just looking forward to the weekend. One nasty thing did happen today though; we found mouse poo in the freakin cooking utensile draw for the second time in food prep. I use those utensiles to make food that I eat, soo nasty. I'll be happy with any of them considering its money I dont have. It has to be 1,500 words, and currently I'm at 0 with no sense of direction.
